yesterday I was trying to stream to friends and could found the OBS-Browser source.
After some research it appear that at the moment the linux browser was plagued with a big bug so they dropped the support until they can fix that if its possible.

(2) https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/2644
I let people more clever than me linux wise go through this. Maybe you can help OBS to fix that.

Hi !
I’m looking everywhere but only finding months or years old topics about this issue.
Is there a way to have "Browser source" today ?
Also there is no "Game" option while on many video tuto i see people setting the source as "game".
Thanks

I don't know about the "browser" source. I use OBS 25.0.8 to stream my browser however, and for that I use the "Window capture (Xcomposite)" source. With this source you can stream any window: firefox, chrome, gimp, amarok, inkscape, thunderbird... I don't know if the "Browser" source has a special effect.
It’s supposed to let you point a source as a URL, so you can have ie YouTube or Twitch chat window, without the window decoration but something else, like of text/background opacity etc.

It has been archived when OBS came with their own solution but it still works perfectly at the moment. It's a nice workaround while they are fixing the bug.
