Borderless window mode sometimes places window behind KDE Plasma control bar

Some games (Total War: Warhammer 2 and Saints Row 4 for example) are placed behind my control bar (KDE Plasma, Kubuntu 18.04.4) in borderless window mode. Alt + Tab out and back in doesn't change anything. I always have to switch to fullscreen and back to borderless window mode, to get them on top of the control bar.

But this only happens to some games, I never had this issue with e.g. Barotrauma.
