But with that said, a lot of mods for games running in proton can work just fine, for example I know you can get Cyberpunk 2077 mods running, or mods for GTA V etc. :smile:

1. Total conversions mods such as [The Dark Mod](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Mod).
2. Mods that rely on functions outside of the game, requiring Windows dlls, or Linux so files. This can be seen with Half-life 1 mods. Some of these mods are compiled only for Windows (dll), and therefore are not native.
