Title: GamingOnLinux RSS Feed 'Expires' header lasts 2 days - intentional?
User Avatar
Hi @Liam Dawe,

The RSS Feed reader I use respects the 'Expires' header for your RSS feed, which tells it not to download updates more than once every 2 days to save resources. Is the RSS feed intentionally configured this way? See discussion here for more context: https://codeberg.org/grisha/newsraft/issues/27

I never noticed this before as I recently switched from newsboat to newsraft. Newsboat appears to just ignore this header.

Thanks!

Not intentional, unsure as to what the issue is.

The script has a max time of one hour. I think it may be cloudflare interfering, but I added rules now for it to bypass the cloudflare cache but that also still seems to have the extra max-age of two days on it *confused*

Have contacted my host to investigate, might be a server config issue.

Okay, managed to find a fix, cache set to 1 hour now.
