For me, honestly, I really do think I'll be jumping back into more openXcom, I really just love the classic.
And no doubt the Fiancee will wish to play some more ARC Raiders, although I feel like I've seen pretty much everything it has to offer until the next major update to it.
Oh, and a bit more of [redacted] that I was sent a pre-release key for.
Over to you - what will you be playing?
For me, I'm doing an "evil" run of Stardew Valley. JoJoMart needs me! 😇
I decided on the Beach farm as I've never played on that one, and I'm not exactly sure who my spouse should be. I'm leaning towards Emily, but I really like coffee...so I'll likely go with Elliott. (He gifts coffee, I've read)
Since I'm going JoJo, I'm schmoozing all of the villagers, except for Pierre. Originally I had thought about marrying his daughter Abigail, or dating her forever maybe? I'm definitely the type of person to do all the quests and such so I'll likely end up befriending most of them regardless. (Except Pierre)

Warhammer Online: Return of Reckoning - yes, still playing it for my pvp mmorpg fix.
Thinking about getting back to Witchfire and Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon, both have had few updates
Other than that, got back into Hades that I never finished 3 years ago.
thislast weekend was spent finishing Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, a 2002 GameCube title (using Dolphin). A survival horror, it blends Resident Evil with Lovecraft adds a dash of tomb raiding sprinkling of magic. It was well reviewed at the time but a commercial failure. Possibly deservedly so. While it is well written, the actual game play is a bit lacking and compared to contemporary horror games (like the Silent Hill sequels) it never gets all that scary.
One thing I did enjoy is the Sanity meter. Just looking at a monster will drain you sanity leading to the player character suffering hallucinations. Odd noises, blood running from the walls, random body parts falling off (pick 'em up and stuff them in the inventory!).
What I didn't know going in was that the game also plays tricks on you the player, when the Sanity meter runs out. I blamed bugs in the game, problems with the emulator and yes, even my own sanity 🤪 before figuring out what the heck was going on. Some of the tricks played on me was random BSODs, pretend reestarts, muted audio or missing video signal, at one point the game stopped, congratulated me for finishing the demo and teased me with the (non-existent) sequel.
The worst trick happened shortly after a boss fight, when it slowly pretennded to delete Every Single One of my save games... That was the scariest moment in the entire game!
Next week: (this week) more emulating!
