Title: What are you playing this week? 26-01-26
Liam Dawe 5 days ago
Hello Forum goers, how are we all on this fine Monday morning?

It's time for another chat about what you're all playing!

We're taking a bit of a break from ARC Raiders over here, after constantly dying in it and getting quite frustrated at losing everything repeatedly. I don't know what it is lately, but the aggression in it has gotten a lot worse. All we wanted to do was open a single door with a key we had, in around 10-11 runs random players downed us every single time <_<

For now we're jumping into a bit of Division 2 for some far more casual looting and shooting.

What are you going through this week?

I started Blacksad: Under the skin, last game Pendulo Studios created before going bankrupt, and it's been so much fun for now. Great characters, music, story, and the gameplay is very much like the Telltale Games interactive adventures. I must be near completion.

Also started The Outer Worlds, only have like 4h in, but also enjoying it quite a bit. Kinda missed a Fallout-esque type of game but with good writing (boo Bethesda).

Oh, and played some Planet of Lana as well. Very cute game too!

All of them have been on my backlog for a while, so I'm very happy I defaulted to them instead of buying a new one. I have been playing them via Sunshine/Moonlight on the Deck from my main PC, lying on the sofa whilst sick. Sunshine/Moonlight are a godsend, although I can't get HDR to work on GNOME.

I've just finished Gabriel Knight, so now I'm going to play through Gabriel Knight 2. Luxtorpeda makes it super easy.

For the first time? Did you like it? Will you move to Gabriel Knight 3 after the 2nd?

Gabriel Knight is one of my fav classic adventure series. All very different, all very good.

I'd played GK1 before, but never finished GK2. I probably won't do GK3 - those early attempts to transfer adventure games to 3D were not great.

I've just purchased Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal for pennies and have added a few recommended quality-of-life mods.

Completed Darkenstein 3D last week, and I highly recommend it. Great old-school FPS. I've hit a wall in Zexion but will probably return to it later on.

Right now, I'm about to fire up Look Outside after a two-month break :-)

Does this count for weekend also? or there's gonna be another one for weekend?

I picked up StarRupture - open world, crafting, base-building, automation game. From the developers of Green Hell. Has some story going on also. Pretty good amout of content for early access release. Runs pretty well on my aging hardware also.
