First, my Steam account has not been hijacked, and hopefully never will be. Though I am looking to help protect against that if such a day ever comes.

For Steam accounts created with a product key from physical game media, Steam support will use that as a way to verify ownership. However, the product key insert from my first ever Steam game purchase has long since been lost or destroyed. If ever my Steam account were compromised, or my tiny indie email service hosted out of Serbia where to shut down (preventing Steam Guard codes), I might be screwed.

How else can I authenticate my Steam account so that in the event of possible future compromise, I have a way of attesting ownership?
