Well after this website, Phoronix and LGN all posted their articles on the silence of Linux Game Publishing (LGP) slashdot finally picked it up (also their first time noticing LGP exists). Osmos-Linux Sales Stats

Thanks to Dave Burke of Hemisphere Games for emailing me the details on this (to remind me to post it hah!). The developers behind the brilliant little game Osmos which is currently available for Linux, Mac and Windows have written up a piece giving us a bit of info on how it turned out for them to port the game to Linux.

In true Open Source fashion "Blood Frontier" is now a dead project and straight out of it's ashes comes Red Eclipse! I have tried reading what really happened on the official Blood Frontier wevsite but all that i get from it is this - The main guy got bored/annoyed & fell out with the rest of the development team so he shut it all down...

Okay so further to the last news post I have implemented Guests ability to comment on news items...and whilst doing that I fixed registered users being able to post on news items. I was wandering why no one was...oops. Right after the last news post I also added Flash and Java tags to listings so people who dislike/like them can see what uses them.

RSS Feed fixed...plus other stuff

Well more formatting from news posts broke RSS again, so i have fixed it and done some work on the back end to help stop this in the future :). Along with that i have added a member list page and started user profiles along the road to becoming a bigger and more active community, so stay tuned! Also for now if you have any news please do use the "Contact GOL" link in the navigation and send them are way! A few things to come: *Flash or Java tags for listings, to make it easier to figure out what you need to run them...

You can download a demo and pre-order. Thanks to the success of the Humble Indie Bundle (which took in over a million $) the first two games have been Open Sourced. To play them you will still need to buy them, as I understand it the source of the game Engines are free, but not the game itself (so people can fork the engines to make new open-source games or improve the engines for the current games)...
