Hardspace: Shipbreaker developer Blackbird Interactive have announced they've broken off from Focus Entertainment.
In an announcement they said they've reacquired full ownership over Hardspace: Shipbreaker. As a result, they've confirmed that multiple new Hardspace projects are in development but they're not going into any real specifics on it just yet. Hardspace: Shipbreaker itself is set for a small update to reflect the change
In a press release Rory McGuire, President and Chief Creative Officer at Blackbird Interactive said: "It is rare to have an IP that resonates so deeply with millions of players. So we are honored to have this opportunity to deepen and expand that connection through new games that explore the Hardspace universe. Shipbreaker also wouldn’t be what it is today without our friends at Focus Entertainment. We are eternally grateful for their partnership and hope to work with them again soon."
The game runs great with Proton on Linux and is rated Steam Deck Verified.
