Godot Engine 4.5 has been officially released further enhancing this free and open source cross-platform game engine.
There's plenty of exciting stuff added for game developers including stencil buffer support, screen reader support, script backtracing, shader baking, translation preview support, animation player upgrades, HiDPI improvements for icons, stacked effects for labels, Native Wayland sub-window support, SDL3 gamepad input driver, SMAA support and much more.
For people making web games, there's a nice performance improvement there too with support for WASM (WebAssembly) SIMD.
Good to see Godot going from strength to strength, it's really becoming impressive and I hope to see a lot more game developers using it for its awesome Linux support.
See everything that's new in the release post.
