Fogpiercer was a highlight here on GamingOnLinux back in April, and now it's coming back stronger with a brand new trailer and they've found a publisher.

What is it? A deckbuilder roguelite in which you build and upgrade your train to build your deck, fight off bandits on a square grid using unique carriage cards. Combat here is all about positioning, with you able to trick enemies into hitting each other or smashing them off the grid. It's releasing sometime in 2026 with Linux support and a demo is still available right now.

On Steam they just announced that Hooded Horse who published Manor Lords, Norland, Old World and more have become their partner on it. From the announcement the developer said: "This is a huge pickup for us, and we’re really looking forward to having Hooded Horse’s support as we make Fogpiercer the best game it can be. With their resources, we’ll be able to localize the game into more languages, reach a wider audience, have additional QA support, and spend more time actually developing the game!"

“Fogpiercer has a great setting and innovative train-based gameplay, we think fans of roguelike deckbuilders are going to love this one,” says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “We're honored to be serving as their publisher."
