CloverPit hits the jackpot on Steam grabbing 500,000 sales

Much like with Megabonk being a success, we have another good one here with CloverPit managing to be quite the hit on Steam. A horrific fusion of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette.

Announced on their Bluesky, the developers said it's hit 500,000 sales in only 8 days since the launch. Made by a small team too, although with publishing help from Future Friends Games, it goes to show that anything can happen but success is still never a guarantee.

In the case of CloverPit, they did manage to hook in some big YouTubers like Blitz, RTGame, Northernlion and more I've never heard of before with multiple millions of followers that covered it. Not a really big surprise though, considering the gambling theme of the game it was bound to be a hit for people doing videos on it. Goes to show that YouTube is still a huge driver of sales for game developers. Developer Panik Arcade has clearly hit their own jackpot here.

Nice to see some more smaller developers keep hitting gold.

You can see some of my own thoughts on it in the previous GamingOnLinux article. The game works great on Linux Desktop PCs with Proton and Valve rated it Steam Deck Verified.

CloverPit | Release Date: 3rd September 2025
