Embark Games have been cooking, with ARC Raiders v1.7.0 out now that brings quite a lot to the popular extraction shooter - so time for another run.

One of the most requested features for the game has also been added, with the ability to re-do your skill tree. You can also toggle to aim down the sights of weapons now too, useful to save a bit of finger ache. There's a cap on the amount of blue Cred you can have at any one time too, which is now actually shown in-game. We even get to customize our Raider Tool now too, they've improved Stella Montis spawns and moved the Aphelion blueprint drop from the Matriarch to Stella Montis. Also, one of my favourite changes - the Rattler is no longer completely useless with the clip size increased by default to 12.

That's just the smaller listed above stuff as there's also:

  • A new Cold Snap map condition:
    • During the Cold Snap condition, the clock is ticking. The freezing weather will cut your Raider down in minutes unless you get indoors, or heal up quickly. Bear this in mind when engaging other Raiders - getting pinned down in the open is a death sentence during a Rust Belt winter.
  • Flickering Flames event:
    • Gather Candleberries and XP during a run to progress through to earn various items.
  • New free Raider Deck "Goalie" - coming on December 26.
  • New Quests and Items.

There's lots more tweaks you can see all in the patch notes.

Also, somehow Fanatical still have it on a discount so they're the best place to buy it.
