Valve have finally announced what they suggested they would do at the first SteamDevDays, Greenlight is being thrown out. It will be replaced by 'Steam Direct', which may still require a payment from developers.
You may remember recently I wrote about 'threaded GL dispatch' in Mesa possibly getting merged, after AMD's Marek suggested it and there was some backlash, well, it has continued.
Continuing my love for Croteam, today it was pointed out on reddit that the Croteam developers have been talking quite a bit more about Vulkan on one of their Steam forums. They also stated that Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter should have the Fusion update with Linux & Vulkan in 'weeks'.
Parkitect is one of those Early Access games that sits firmly at the top of my list to keep an eye on. It's really fun already and every alpha is a big boost for it.
Another good game project that could use some help in the way of your votes: The Dark Mod. The developers are wanting to get the game onto Steam through Greenlight.
Looks like everyone is going to be happy with this one. Feral Interactive have announced the system requirements for HITMAN ahead of the release next week. AMD & NVIDIA are supported.
This year's GDC sounds like it might be quite interesting! AMD, NVIDIA, Khronos, Unity, Croteam and more have announced they will be doing a bunch of talks and some of them will be about Vulkan.
