Haha! Never thought that it was from the same crew as Teslagrad... but that teslamancer girl should have reminded me of something...

Two Worlds II Call of the Tenebrae DLC & Standalone delayed, Linux version having issues
By razing32, 22 May 2017 at 6:59 pm UTC

Ugh.
Kinda sad. We just heard it was being released and now we get the delay.
Oh well, better they do release a proper game when they do.

Oh yeah, you're right about the pound price. I read it as 50 because I expected it to be. Then it is quite a bit cheaper in pounds than it is in euros.

Actually I'm wrong, it's £39.99 on Steam, £10 cheaper than buying it in a box with DVD.

Quoting: lucifertdarkGAME want's £49.99 for the game, £20 more than Feral are asking for it, from what I just read they're charging the extra for 3 player character skins & the soundtrack.

What makes you think that? The game is £50 / $60 / €60, Feral can't change that.

I bought it, and i actually have a hell of a good time just mowing down the bots. Yeah i wish it would get multiplayer, but for now, i am enjoying it for what it is.

Quoting: HoriWasn't it free tho? I remember trying it on Itch.io (that was also the only reason I tryied Itch)...

Why would they ask for 15€ if all they offer is a single-player FPS game... I mean seriously, an FPS game is not an FPS game until it has either single-player or a solid campaign. This has neither...

For me this is kind of a dick move and just another failed early access game to join the endless see of others like it.
No offence, but you're clueless. Sorry to be blunt here, but I've seen people say such things often.

Early Access is designed exactly for games in development. It's the entire point, and as usual: don't buy it if you don't want it.

Early Access is for games to continue to evolve, with player feedback. The campaign mode for example, is a feature to come that will be developed over time with feedback.

Calling it a dick move makes you sound like you really don't understand any of this.

I guess you meant multiplayer. But yeah, I share the general opinion here. At least, give us some split screen, that would be some serious action :)

Quoting: razing32Here's a question. Do they plan to add the multiplayer later ?
Was excited to potentially play this with friends.

They said different times it will never be multiplayer.

My bad.
Understood.

I liked the several previous (free) beta, but i think, as a single player game, it's not "enough", yet, for its new price.

It's a real shame that this game doesn't ship with multiplayer. Especially when you consider that you could play a really silly Battlefield 2 with your friends with this game...
Because of this it will be a no buy for me

Oh and as for trolls, I have no issues removing them. Anyone dancing around rules being an idiot deserves to be removed.

Well there we go then :) Typical of me - it's two inches from my nose and I somehow miss it :). They look pretty straight forward. If you add anything, I would suggest adding a rule about direct threats.

Faeria is another Unity game that is partially broken on Linux due to an engine update, here's a quick fix

Quoting: istispThat bug is not new, but it usually hits games in windowed mode. A lot of Unity games crash my Cinnamon desktop when I try to drag the window around. I guess it only hits rescalable windows though. Games that are affected include Kerbal Space Program, Infinifactory and SlimeRancher.
That's an entirely different issue by the sounds of it. This is something new with Unity 5.6 and full-screen games.

Yay! Sounds like a perfect little game to me! Pleasing graphics, novel character interactions, casual puzzles. A lot of games set out to fill a sort of "pleasant to play" niche, but so few manage to pull it off with any sophistication and elan.

At least for Faeria I can confirm that window mode works without problems.

It actually reminds me a lot of the rather good game TerraTech, also in Early Access, but on land instead of space.

QuoteSound wise, it reminds me of the original Star Trek series, the laser effects really do sound like they would fit right at home there.

Exactly what I thought.
Though they reminded me less of lasers and more of the Pulse type weapons the Klingons and Romulans use.

Two Worlds II HD - Call of the Tenebrae, a standalone version of the DLC will see Linux support
