I wasn't clear, I have looked up some DOTT in the olden days so it's not a fair comparison... Also DOTT might be pretty absurd in the puzzles to begin with?
Also I've never really got into Monkey Island because I was stuck right away, and watching speed runs and explanations about the mechanics told me I couldn't have solved by myself anyway...
There's another adventure game I loved, Simon the Sorcerer, that's beside DOTT my greatest adventure game love. Now I want to pick that up again haha.

One thing that's important to remember is that cloud saves cannot (and should not) replace regular backups. For starters, some games only have a single save slot and if something happens to it (you die, bad decision, gets corrupt etc.) then the older one gets overwritten including in the cloud. But even for games without this limitation, you can run out of cloud storage space. It's actually happened to me several times now, in Jurassic World Evolution and Baldur's Gate 3. Also, if something really bad happens to all of these saves, Steam Cloud would still sync them and you'll lose everything.
Don't forget to make backups guys!

Once you turn 10, nobody asks what your favorite dinosaur is. It's not because they know it, it's because they don't care. All that just to say, I hope to a dilophosaurus and a triceratops.

After an article about this being upcoming, and a couple enthusiastic comments, I went and bought the first one. I've been enjoying it quite a bit. Will definitely get the second at some point.

No sponsorblock? Not touching youtube without it. The best way to use youtube on steam deck remains a kiosk mode youtube webpage with all the modern and configurable adblocks and sponsorblock and a gamepad preset from community templates

The first game wasn't bad. A bit of relatively casual fun. And surprisingly addictive.
This sequel is already on my wishlist.

A bit off-topic but new user to GFN here. How secure is the Steam account when used by GFN ?
I have Steam Guard enabled.
Do I need to sign in every time I play a game over GFN or how does that work?
Thanks!

I just want to double-down on Liam's recommendation, the campaigns of this game are really lots of fun like we haven't seen in a while.
Also to bring up Moduwar, which released yesterday in Early Access, Linux native build, very interesting idea and fun so far.

This developer has a bunch of free jam games on Itch.io. Maybe these might give you an idea of what to expect?

Haven't tried anything else myself, but The Inanimate Mr. Coatrack was worth playing.

I can finish DOTT without looking up anything (fucking love it), but I'm afraid I'll spend my time looking solutions up because I'm stuck all the time.
In my humble opinion: If you solved DOTT on your own, you're ready for every modern adventure game.

Looks interesting. But Ludusavi also has a GUI right? I don't know which one I'll use, but I'll try both and see which one has better multiplatform (Windows and Linux) support, easier to sync in a git repo, and I can ultimately use to sync and restore after both Windows and Linux uninstall.
Losing Rance VI progress three times has left me in a trauma regarding saves, to the point it even affects my views on purchasing games (no cloud save sync, no purchase) and still leave me wanting for manual backups on top of cloud save sync...

Same here. 5900X + 6900XT, installed vanilla SteamOS from the recovery image without an issue, everything runs perfectly fine. It's also preferred to have a nvme0n1 drive as the installer script refers to it during the installation, but it can be edited to sda.

@ElectricPrism Use a Steam Family to share libraries between different accounts and you shouldn't have that issue.
Steam's old family sharing system locks entire libraries, but the new Family setup shares individual game licenses.
Or one of the devices can be put into offline mode and that should also bypass the lockout. Steam won't know the library is in use if it doesn't have network access. (Is World of Goo an online game? I guess this idea won't work if it is.)

Game developers seem to be relying more and more on Discord to support and get feedback from their users. I signed up to be a playtester for Moonsigil Atlas. I was accepted. The only way to get the key was through a Discord direct message.Authors too. Pretty much all sci-fi, fantasy and litRPG authors will direct you to a Discord for fan engagement.
