XCOM 2 is starting to look mighty interesting

Quoting: BeamboomOh no, please - no timers. :(

Seconded. Timed missions only lead to frustration.

Maybe there's hope that these timers are only there to make the players choose between missions (as you won't have time to do them all), and not to make missions themselves more stressful.

Quoting: zimplex1I cringe everytime a developer refers to Windows as PC.
I mentally tune it out. Keeps me sane.

SpeedRunners, a competitive action-platform runner has been delayed for Linux

I played that demo during a free weekend. It was pretty fun, even single-player. Sad to hear it isn't coming for a while. I recall the demo having some minor issues like with the menu and whatnot, but I've played many fully released games that were far worse.

Quoting: KeizgonPretty sure this is in my Steam library. I haven't tested whether it will run or not, but IIRC there is a playable beta branch for it.

Sorta, it's just the demo though.

The way I read it: "I cannot date you right now, but you are a really nice guy. Let's be friends for now."

Unity does not mean instant port like we know all too well.

They'd better watch their middleware.

Either way, I won't be pre-ordering it myself. If it's out on the day then I will simply purchase my copy to cover on GOL then and there. Unless someone wants to gift me a pre-order so we are ready, I won't stop you ;)

Xcom from Feral considering the Windows previews could even make me preorder it if there would be some better incentive. Good there isn't. :D

It looks fascinating and as long as its a day 1 release I may pre-order, this is what is holding me back from Total War: Warhammer, not knowing if its day one or not (and hate o have to wait for almost a year before it appears on Linux).

Civ V and Dungeons of Dredmor mostly, but I did play through Whispering Willows and I took Knights of Pen & Paper 2 for a test drive. All good stuff, well worth playing.

Looks interesting. I'm not sure I'm sold on the pseudo-N64 graphics, but I can get over that. As with an early access game, I'm not touching it until it's finished, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.

Am I the only one playing Football Manager 2016? It's the demo actually - it takes you through to January in the season, so a hell of a lot of play time for a demo! I play the "Touch" mode and they've just released a new version of just that, which is cheaper. Which is good because the full game's too pricey for me. I'll be picking it up when funds become available.

So much choice now ^_^

The holidays have seen me diving into the magificent world of Shadowrun: Dragonfall (probably the best RPG I have played in over a decade all things considered),
while the last days have found me and a friend leaving a trail of chaos and destruction in our wake while taking our first steps in D : OriginalSin

Quoting: GuestStill waiting for that new Valve title to drop. Makes me paranoid they're still wanting to put on a massive show and do a "hard launch" for Steam Machines at some point.

A new Portal would indeed be awesome. ;)

For kicks, let's hope they're just waiting for Vulkan.

SteamOS beta updated to support Xbox One Elite gamepad

Cool. Personally, the X1 controller feels cheaper than X360 - the giant letters on the buttons that fade off with use feels cheap to me.

I think the general public will be surprised and like this very much though since 4 X1 controllers run you at least $200 and not all prefer the current Steam Controller current version.

Over the holidays I've been playing local co-op games only. Most popular were TowerFall Ascension and Broforce. Others played include Crawl, Gang Beasts, Never Alone, Pix the Cat & Serious Sam 3: BFE.
