Squad-based online shooter Enlisted: Reinforced now on Steam with Linux support

Quoting: Kirbybut they released a free game in their launcher for 20$ on steam
marked as early access too when its the full title release, straight scam
Nothing “scam” about it. Developers are free to release on Steam however they want, they decided for now to bundle a package with the Steam purchase which wasn’t all that bad. As for Early Access, they planned to keep improving it and so decided for Steam specifically it wasn’t to be classed as a full complete ready release. There’s really nothing wrong with how they did it.

I hope it does. Their promo image is showing the user having to press a button that the machine doesn't actually have. It just seems sloppy.
OH. I get what you mean now specifically the Xbox button itself. Yeah, needs to be a Home icon like on the actual unit.

Quoting: Liam DaweThat's exactly it. It's Steam Big Picture mode, the glyphs are based on the controller or spoofed controller.
They could have worked with upstream Valve/SDL, though, so that the controller was an actual Orange Pi Neo rather than a spoofed anything.

Of course they've got time to do that still; it's just a mock-up with no release date at the moment. But if they were going to do that, they'd probably have tidied up their mock-up.

Yes because steam shows the menu icon based on the connected controller, i think

If the controller is and xbox controller, shows the xbox logo, if is an playstation controller, shows the PS logo an so on

Quoting: Linux_RocksToo bad no KDE Plasma 6 in Kubuntu though. 🐌🐢

Yes but when Kubuntu 24.10 is released Plasma will be up to version 6.2/6.3/something and most bugs will have been fixed Plasma 5.27 is so good that at least I don't mind using it for 6 more months. It's just a very stable desktop. Maybe a little boring but I take stable and boring over new and buggy every day of the week
Yeah I've heard a few horror stories about the initial Plasma 6 release, so I'm actually kinda glad to wait a bit.

I found it entertaining, like chucking coins into a machine at an arcade only with no money loss. Here it's also not so random, and fairer since the claw actually works. You can fill up the machine with liquid too, quite amusing.

Quoting: scaineThat's incredibly naff though, isn't it? Emulating a developer's style and releasing a game that was probably on the original developer's backlog anyway? Feels like their "All Quiet Roads" controversy all over again.
While the naming I can agree to an extend is a bit naughty pinching on a clear scheme from the other developer, the gameplay mechanics in a different setting are pretty fair game - mechanically it looks quite unique in how it works.

Edit: reading up more on it, the developers Dinosaur Polo Club even apologised on their reaction to All Quiet Roads.
