That's just a more polite excuse than "That would help our competitors, that would be bad for us".
He's right about the fact that EAC would never stop cheaters running Linux, especially considering it can't even stop them on Windows.

Quoting: BielFPsI guess that's a classic cya move. They can't have someone who has had any contact with MS's IP, to avoid legal problems. Even though I'd argue that's not enough, look at Google LLC vs Oracle America Inc.No exposure to Microsoft code or reverse-engineering of Microsoft softwareInteresting, I thought wine worked reversing engineering the calls from the software. I think this may be about only "Microsoft Software" and not windows only programs in general?
Humble Bundle confirms changes coming mid-July to add a minimum payment for Humble

It's not like Ziff Davis bought Humble to make it better for the end user. It bought Humble because it saw a cash cow, and now it's putting that cow to work harder after the conglomerate acquisition was forgotten. I mean, seeking profit is not fundamentally evil. Trying to keep the charitable facade, now that makes me cringe a little.
It's officially game over for Rochard with studio Recoil Games shutting

I bought the game solely because of the Linux support. I might be going against the current here, but bored out of my mind when I played it, even though I usually like physics puzzle games. I wonder if the developers built other games and what happened between Rochard's release and this sad announcement.

Godot Engine was approved for an Epic MegaGrant

I disagree that Tencent's being a minority stake makes it irrelevant. It does mean that Tencent has minority vote, and Sweeney is officially still the one making final decisions. But that doesn't mean Tencent does not have any interest in EGS succeeding, thus being irrelevant.

Quoting: marcusUh ... besides that being irrelevant in total since Tencent has a minority stake in Epic, you need to compare the same unit and the same accounting category to make any sense. Tencent had a net income of 79.984 billion CN¥, which is roughly 12 billion USD.Ops, my bad. I'll fix my previous comment. The number is much less scary now, but still significantly bigger than Valve's.

Quoting: 0aTTBut let's be honest: As soon as the Fortnite millions are missing, the EGS is overTencent is the only thing that makes me disagree. We could fit 100+ Valves inside Tencent's pockets. To put things in perspective, Valve has a total equity of ~2.5Bi, Tencent had

Psyonix are ending support for Rocket League on both Linux and macOS (updated)

I doubt we are going to have many "good news for us" coming from them now and, if it ever happen, I'll probably be really skeptic, know that there's a catch somewhere and forget about it; definitely not go around saying anyone is great.

Quoting: GuestIf this was a good news for us you will be saying "OMG i love Psyonix they are great!".I have been a long time UE user, and ever since Tencent acquired such a significant stake on Epic, Epic Games did a 180 on a lot of things that made them great. That even includes ending plans for Linux support for the unreal engine editor.

Anyone didn't see that coming with Tencent buying Psyonix?
Update 3:
I received the refund through Steam ticketing system, not the usual "request a refund" way.
Update 2:
Apparently the instructions to use the automated system are there just to make it look easier. Ignore the dotted list, go straight to:

Update 2:
Apparently the instructions to use the automated system are there just to make it look easier. Ignore the dotted list, go straight to:
If this process does not work for you, please contact Valve via their ticket system, select Rocket League, then “I have a question about this purchase,” and they will manually start the refund process from there.Unless you are under the 2 weeks + 2 hours rule.
Update:
Refunds will be accepted on Steam nowHere's Steam's response to the refund request I did following the instructions on Psyonix post:
We have reviewed your refund request.
We will not be granting a refund at this time. The date of the purchase exceeds 2 weeks (our refund policy maximum).
