About Linux. Does NVIDIA say Windows AI services from NVIDIA uses Linux? I think Linux is already there, but without official support.

Linux and open source getting age checking exemptions could be problematic

Also, these regulations are piece of shit, because not only Linux users could avoid it. Linux users are just in better place, because they can download source code, revert sh*t changes and compile.

But...
There are debuggers. I can type:
gdb firefox
break read_age_of_user
run
...
set ?? user_age 888

I think this is enough.

I think I can install Firefox for Windows using WINE, set age in registry and viola. I think there must be a field/value telling no information about age. In this case, each validator should recognize you as allowed to view content. In case, if my distribution does not comply with new laws, Firefox (for Linux) would send no information, because my OS does not deliver specific API. Of course, only root should be able to set this value or age for some user. If system lacks API to obtain age, software should return no information.

I think, this should not be obligatory. Law vendors should only force to create standards to check age and force content delivers to use this API.

I think there should be only putting text: „We can block to ran this game at all without reasons at any time”. That's what should be enough. People would not buy right to play this kind of game if they read this text and do not agree.

AI is rather good here. Hackers can use it to find bugs, but some AI tools are available to everyone, so there big change people will report bugs.

US operating system age verification bill "Parents Decide Act" gets published

In Bible is text: "At the end of the world, children will turn of they parents".

I do not known, why operating system should provide check boxes to allow/disallow what children can do? I understood why creating API to ask how old child is, but criteria OS should provide check boxes? How to implement this, what rights should be settable, etc?

New US Congress bill proposal requires all operating system providers to verify ages

Idea seems to not be that bad as many people told. Currently there is no mechanism to check age in many places, but should. But any other implementation than field in passwd is bad. Of course - there should been an options to put X into this field, meaning no information, so give full access.

English is not my strong side. I am aware verify could mean check, so maybe OS been forced to check how old are users - not just asks.

Performing Right Society (PRS) sues Valve over video game music

Quoting: liloventWhy aren't they sueing the owners of these games, Microsoft, Take Two and Electronic Arts?

Also, why isn't Epic Games and GOG sued over it, as well as all of the key vendors? Are they next in line to be sued, when Valve gives in?
This is copyrights owner right to select, who they will sue. I think MS is trying to destroy Valve/Steam. Did you remember court battle with Novel against rights to Unix?
