Also works for me, including multiplayer. Fedora 40.

Tetris Effect: Connected adds HDR for Steam Deck OLED plus optimizations

I'm more curious why they had to enable HDR for the SteamDeck anyway.
It's running through Proton, if Windows had HDR why wouldn't Linux (through Proton) not have HDR? Unless they made specific graphic settings for SteamDeck?

Steam Deck global top seller again thanks to cheaper LCDs and the Steam Deck OLED

Been playing on my OLED. Screen aside, all the tiny improvements together are noticeable. Trackpads, joysticks, menu buttons, weight, battery, fan noise. It overall just feels like a more polished product.

Biggest downside is the guilt of buying a minor upgrade. I need sell/give away my old Steamdeck so it's not gathering dust.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyGreat!!!

. . . What's HDR?
In somewhat simplified terms and glossing over a lot of details:

SDR (Standard Dynamic Range), you can display a pixel on a screen but not how bright that pixel should be. You could increase the RGB values to make it brighter, but you would be modifying the color. You could increase the monitor's brightness, but now you're making every pixel brighter.

HDR (High Dynamic Range), you can display a pixel on a screen and decide how bright it should be independent of the color. There's metadata the monitor can communicate with software to tell it how bright individual pixels can be.

For those who enjoyed Legend of Grimrock 1, I highly suggest Legend of Grimrock 2. It improves upon everything in 1 and switches to a a pretty expansive open world.

DXVK 2.3 has game fixes for The Sims 2, Tomb Raider Anniversary, Far Cry 2

Fixed various issues with reporting HDR metadata.
Added an interface to allow external libraries, such as NVAPI, to enable HDR in various D3D11 games as well as Elden Ring (PR #3625).
Nice, always good to see HDR progress.

Epic themselves hasn't improved the Linux user experience or ecosystem, so no tux no bux.

Heart of the Machine from Arcen Games dropping Native Linux for Proton

I actually don't mind since Unity3D Linux support is so lacking. But I'm not a fan of my rapidly shrinking store front since I have Linux as my only platform of choice to support wishlist stats.

Valve really needs to overhaul the platform preference system. Maybe optionally show Steamdeck verified games as well as native games.

Quoting: Linux_RocksI don't really care for RGB and LED lighting in PCs.
Tools like this are great for those who don't like RGB since you can use them to turn RGB off. Most hardware will default with RGB on.
