NVIDIA have officially announced the GeForce RTX 2000 series of GPUs, launching September
21 August 2018 at 12:02 pm UTC

Quoting: TheRiddickYeah except there are no other real options, at least when you go past 1060GTX performance level!!!!!

When there is no alternatives then boycotts are VERY hard to do, your asking people to accept a more expensive and MUCH slower option (Vega)!!!!

Without forget polaris aka RX 480/RX 580 consume too much (around 180 to 200w) compared GTX 1060 with only 120w

Amd need seriously 7nm on gpus for improve consume

Back to RTX only wait to see nvidia said about RTX 2070 have a bit better performance than titan xp and other rumors around improvements on vulkan

However if have similar performance or a bit better of titan xp will be awesome because RTX 2070 only have 2304 shaders vs 3840 shaders of titan xp

Quoting: GuestI'd use controller for both bayonetta and vanquish myself, prehaps the buggy mouse behaviour wouldn't be a problem with a controller instead?

Thanks for mentioning Bayonetta, I'd love to play that on Linux even more-so then Vanquish.. Looks like I'm gonna have to free up some space on the ole hard drive and take these games for a spin ^^

Have you tried DMC HD Collection yet? That's another game on my top-list of games I'd love to play on Linux!

Oh and btw, you should be able to delete that double post yourself now, I think GOL added that feature a couple months back now (the big cross (X) symbol next to Edit)

Double edit: agree, DXVK is making massive progress, as with wine.. Both those things are just such great examples of fantastic software development, I take my hat off to the people who make the software

Yeah various games with controller works without issues

But with who playing with keyboard still affected

Respect dmc hd collection dont run in last test

However maybe can try in future

And thanks for delete tip

Quoting: GuestoOoooOo!!! Bomberman R is now working in wine?! Sweet! the blocks were always invisible previously in wine, great to know it's working as normal now

Seeing quite a few other games in your tests I have interest in too like Vanquish

Great work as always mrdeathjr :)

Yeah DXVK progress is impressive

Vanquish runs but mouse behavior :><: still be a pain in ass without forget save settings problem (bayonetta too)

Almost forget thanks

Next dxvk release will be awesome for dx10 titles case crysis (steam version tested)

Is very impressive compared with dx9 wine implementation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jl2SVXkY1Iw

Because wine give around 90fps in same scene but dxvk give 150fps but with less cpu

Before cited titles and others dx10 like as sleeping dogs, anno 1404, devil may cry 4, lost planet extreme condition, necrovision, oceanhorn, call of juarez, farcry 2, avatar, bioshock 1-2, just cause 2, enslaved, prince of persia 2008, company of heroes, hawx, megaman x collection, world in conflict, resident evil 5 and others can be stay or not in hyphotetical tests for wine 3.15 / 3.16 :D

DXVK 0.65 is out for Vulkan-based D3D11 in Wine, fixes for Monster Hunter World, Yakuza 0

Quoting: Guest
Quoting: STiATLast time I checked on Skyrim I still had graphical glitches too, that may be gone by now though.

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim is a DX9 game, it worked fine with wine-staging when I played it two years ago. The launcher did not work work but you could start the game executable directly.

ES V system requirements

In my case works and test recently (launcher works too)
