Maybe I'm too hardcore lego fan, but these figures look ugly as... you get the point. I never played roblox, but from what I've seen, the figures there are even uglier. Is it really impossible to create a block character that doesn't look like absolute crap without infringing on lego's design?

Very nice, a couple more updates and I'll get it (I used to own it on stadia, so not in a rush to buy it again).

> How can such a change not backfire?
Looking at the feedback in steam comments, they will be changing it back sooner than later...

Uhh, the old name was ok, the new one is risky, I hope they at least consulted it with an IP lawyer. Do I think it's infringing? No, I don't. But it heavily relies on an association to an established and trademarked name, so ubi's lawyers might find an angle here.

Well, I don't support any form of censorship, but tbh that will save me a lot of clicking on "Ignore".
BTW, you can still buy them *with paypal* on third-party sites.

Weird but ok. How do you sign a deal where the publisher gets most of the fruits of your work? It's even worse than a 9-5 job.
Unless maybe the publisher is entitled to a bigger share up to a certain threshold (to quickly recoup their costs) and the threshold still hasn't been met? Would be nice to know the full story, but it will probably never happen.

> Why are people so happy to destroy their work they (used to) put their heart and soul in, instead of allowing it to live on?
I think you're a bit confused here. People who put their heart and soul in making the game, and people who shut it down, are rarely the same people.

Whew, I checked it a few days ago and it was at just 660k so I got a bit worried, but now it looks we will hit the required 1M in time, and country thresholds have already been met long ago, so it will go through. Can't wait to see what they come up with to try and get it blocked. :-/
