Final Fantasy XIV - Runs very well. There's some grind at the beginning, but after a few hours the story begins to unfold.

Quoting: ageresThese games distract me from playing Final Fantasy IX. It runs fine with Proton, but Moguri Mod (a mod with HD textures enhanced with machine learning) is glitchy, so I'm playing the unmodified version. It has some improvements upon the PS1 version, like speeding up the gameplay without speeding up the game timer - helpful for some mini-games.Final Fantasy 9 is one of my favourites. I played FF7 some weeks ago, and there are many patches too hd textures etc. It didn't work that well and I thought in some cases these AI upscaled textures look odd. So in the end I just played the unmodified version and it was totally worth it. So my tip to you is, don't think too much about all these modifications and just play the original.

Final Fantasy 7 for the first time ever, the original not the remake. Really a great game should have played it sooner. But I think I like FF IX and FF X still even more.

I think Valve will stream games in the future too and probably based on Linux. With it's huge audience that could be the thing to stress developers to port to Linux.

I hope the new SteamOS will be released together with a console like pc. But I think it's better to do that when Proton is in a even better shape.
