Vote For GOG To Make Galaxy Open Source

Quoting: Apopas
Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyI just don't see the point. Not every program needs to be open.
No program needs to be closed source.

I disagree. You need to release privative software if you want to include DRM, back-doors and other malware. It also makes the process of achieving a vendor lock-in easier.

Don't forget people who just think free software is evil. Restricting their rights you'll be more likely to sell them a limited license to use the software.

Quoting: ImantsI only found release for windows if they want me to compile it for Linux then no I hate to do those things :(

Don't worry. The new version will be available soon in (maybe unofficial) repositories for all the mayor distributions. I suppose they'll update the build available in Desura too.

GOL Asks: What Have You Been Playing Recently?

Quoting: ApopasUnrealWorld!

Please don't mention this game again. I installed it just out of curiosity and now I can't stop playing it. Don't Starve meets Dwarf Fortress!

It also reminds me to Cryptozookeeper for some reason... maybe the graphics.

I have been playing Legend of Grimrock and Monsters Minis Extreme Off-Road. I love the first and I like the second. Both are recommended.

I also tried Sunrider and the Skyward Collapse demo in wine for a few minutes. The first is very similar to Planet Stronghold and I see myself playing in the future. About Skyward Collapse... I don't get it, it's like playing a two players game alone.

Finally, Eldritch was not played but added to my library in a recent sale.

Quoting: CheesenessYup, it should do! It's a little younger than ScummVM, but it's playable. IIRC, my last playthrough of the game was done using ResidualVM.

Thank you very much :D

Does ResidualVM work as awesome as ScummVM? I read about it time ago and was planning to recover the CDs from my parent's house, but I didn't yet.

Your high expectations won't be disappointed! Grim Fandango is Tim's best artwork... after Brütal Legend, of course.

Is the Linux version available outside Steam? Desura doesn't show it as available (at least for me).
