This game seems so cool!Even if there isn't a driver in the vehicle! But there's a hole in my wallet atm. What should I do?I know!I must go to Loch Ness and get my old pal nessie's picture. That should do it.Then I will send the picture to the papers and then I have some money to buy this game! Well seriously speaking I will buy this game sooner or later. The price doesn't matter to me:smile:

LunarG releases new Vulkan SDK with DirectX Shader Compiler for Linux and more
There aren't that many DX12 titles either, especially considering it's been released about 5 years now. People get attached to their tools and platforms. It takes a lot of energy and time to move that much inertia.
That's right! When I think about the situation of DX12 games it's a bit sad - luckily for us. There are chances for Vulkan to win this "race".Now It's up to developers what they decide to use DX12 or Vulkan. Pesonally I think that Vulkan gives more freedom and possibilities than DX12 and those will be the 2 crucial factors that solve the whole thing race for Vulkan in the long run. But as you said it requires much energy and time to change tools and platforms. The road isn't easy but it's rewarding in the end - if you want to tread on that path. That's the way I see it.

Splendid. Hopefully new developers find a little easier their way to use Vulkan instead of DX12.:smile:Still it seems there are too few games that have been created using Vulkan. Maybe the situation in tomorrow will be different..

Quench that weekend thirst with the release of Wine 5.14
2 Aug 2020 at 5:33 pm UTC

Wine?It could be nice for me.Today is a good day to have a "barrel" of wine.
When the smoke arises from my PC because of wine then I have solved a mystery. It means that my PC runs on smoke not on electric current! An old joke, eh? But I really mean that wine team does a good job. Hopefully it bears a good fruit so to speak in the future:smile: Still I'm a bit worried about Valve's future because of that stupid US conference meeting about Valve's game monopoly status. Hopefully I'm worried about nothing...

Free and open source 3D creation suite Blender gets funding from Microsoft

Damn!Microsoft is like an octopus whose tenctacles are slowly but surely infiltrating into our lives using linux as hobbyhorse. You can't trust 'em. For blender Team, money is always welcome. Hopefully they don't spend the increasing
amount of money in Las Vegas casino. Hardly. Nevertheless I hope good for Blender Team. It's interesting to see what are the results they achieve in the near future. And MS as backer, very dubious. But what this yields will reveal Whenether money from MS is good or bad.End result will tell that.

Hopefully terrible toybox have patience to learn how to use Linux and not let the possible setbacks to discourage them. I think all the means are there to make games using Linux. Probably it's a question of learning. Tomorrow will tell us more.Good luck to them and hopefully results are good!

Would be nice to know how well steam works on raspberry pi 4. Only with Twister OS it can be possible atm. Of course there are certain limits due to hardware. But nevertheless an interesting project...

No 10nm-based Intel CPUs for desktop users until 2021, 7nm-based CPUs delayed
24 Jul 2020 at 9:48 am UTC

5 years ago I was on Intel's side but now the tables have turned And I vote for AMD.Their price - quality ratio is good. I like it. But now what I want from Intel that they should lower their CPU's prices. They are unreasonable expensive. But I suspect it will avail not cause AMD have too much of a head start.

Designed for big-screen TV gaming, the SteamOS-like 'GamerOS' has a new release
23 Jul 2020 at 1:52 pm UTC

I've got GamerOS and it feels good. The central idea is great. It's a bit sad that SteamOS is in frozen Solid when it comes to development. But GameOS is a good substitute for it at the moment.Hopefully Valve some day will begin to develop SteamOS properly. But is it then too late?I don't know the future! I've no crystal ball so the future remains smoggy. However the most important thing for me is that Linux gaming shall rule tomorrow - and it don't matter what distribution I use as a gaming platform after all.
