ARK: Survival Evolved, A Beautiful Unreal Engine Survival Game Is Heading Our Way

It looks so beautiful in comparison to Beasts of Prey, and with UE4 so much better on performance, but this:

"The Linux and Mac clients will be ready for full release, not for early access, sorry!"

Just makes me sad. =/

Linux Drops Below 1% On The Steam Hardware Survey
7 May 2015 at 1:00 pm UTC

Also remember it is a survey, so it won't ask every single one of you to do it. It would only be truly accurate if it did it behind the scenes, but that's not what a survey is for as this is just to get a general idea.
The weird thing is, that since I installed the Steam Linux (Beta) years ago I answered the survey only once, but I have lost the counting of how many times it pop up for me when I start Steam from PlayOnLinux. So, what kind of "randomness" is that?

Savage Lands Early Access Survival Game Adds Linux Support, I Take A Look

Quoting: drmoth
Quoting: adolsonWould rather play FRONTIERS [External Link]. Just wish they'd fix the gamepad support proper, and maybe put the Tux icon on the Store page so people know it's available.
Ooooh oooh Frontiers! Since when has it had linux support? What do you like about it? Is it buggy?
It looks very nice. Wish it had multiplayer, single player survivals are a bit boring to me.

Edit: I just read on steam forum, and the multiplayer/co-op will be back at some point. :)

I've this game since a long time, did some tests on Wine but never really played. Now I can play it naively, finally!

I don't recommend Rust in current state for anyone! It is by far the worse survival game I ever played. Don't starve is great, Project Zomboid is fine, or for a 3D approach 7 Days to Die.

SpecOps: The Line For Linux Is Official, Being Ported By Virtual Programming

I've both The Witcher 2 and Bioshock Infinite, no crashes at all and good framerates on my old GTX550ti, maybe is something really specific? But the port I'm really enjoying is Shadow Warrior!!! :)

Killing Floor 2 Will Sadly Not See A Same-day Linux Release
7 Apr 2015 at 9:48 pm UTC

This is really sad! They never learn! If the game can't have a same day launch on both platforms they are probably rushing it (which is bad), damn it! They lost an instant-buy... would buy a 4-pack =(

Anyway, I'm having a good time playing 7 Days to Die (bought only when they released the linux port), anyone wants to join me? I own a dedicated server, just look for "Seventy Shades of Death" on the modded tab :)

Dead Island Patch Released For Linux, Finally Playable (Updated)
9 Feb 2015 at 10:56 pm UTC

I use Debian (64bits) with 8GB RAM + gtx550ti, and although the performance looks good, I'm having crashes and freezes when switching to steam overlay. =(
