This game is just such a fantastic concept. Easy to play, hard to master.
Rocket League thoughts on Linux, initial port report, it’s also 25% off right now

I've got rock steady framerate, smooth as butter on my good old gtx680. Not that it's the most graphics intensive game, but still.
And man, is this game fun. It was great fun with the first one on my PS3, and just as fun this time around. :)
A good candidate for the GOTY this year!

I've just given Rocket League a spin and I spent a *lot* of hours in Divinity (it ended up being my GOTY-vote last year) and they both are fantastic ports.

Quoting: EagleDeltaAs much as I really, really hate the long waits for a port, I have to say the of the "bigger" games ported to Linux Rocket League and Divinity: Original Sin EE have a polish and stability that I simply haven't seen in many AAA ports to Linux.This.

But are reviews getting destroyed by it, or are reviews destroying it?

It is thinkable that no-drm requirement actually did complicate things up to the point of not doable, if the way they designed the addendum of DLCs in the code were using DRM-like methods (or even methods supplied by the DRM-based (read: Steam) platforms).

GOG withdraw their statement about The Witcher 3 never planned for Linux, they have no idea

Too bad really, I'd not mind working for GOG in Cyprus someday. :)
Still, it does underline the organisational distance from support department of a subsidiary company to product management in the parent company.

Quoting: KristianActually both are located in Poland, but GOG is registered in Cyprus. Kinda like how many US companies are registered in Nevada or Delaware even though they may conduct little or no business there.Oh! I didn't know that, I've just earlier noticed GOG with a Cyprus address, Cyprus being my #1 holiday destination and the place I want to move when an opportunity arise.

I did think it was a little bit odd that support at GOG should be this well informed of such plans (or lack thereof). Even if they are owned by the studio, anyone who's worked for an employer this large (they are close to 400 employees as far as I understand) everyone does not know about everything that goes on.
They are not even located in the same country: GOG offices are located in Cyprus, while CD Projekt is in Poland.

It's just an interesting observation, these tendencies (if minuscule). I wonder why the Mac share decline - and for that matter, I also wonder why Windows share increase. I'm surprised it's even *possible* to increase when you're at 90+ percent market share.

Quoting: edddeduckferalI would say Mac and Linux combined eating into Windows is a better result (and more likely) than Linux overtaking Mac.True, And I don't think you'll find anyone here disagreeing with this, or questioning the value of a declining Windows share if that happened.
Linux being a slightly bigger niche and Mac's a slight smaller niche but Windows still being 95% of the install base doesn't change anything.

That's what the stats last time showed too, that it seems it's a shift from Mac, and not Windows, to Linux. But it can of course be totally unrelated, and probably is.
Still, it's interesting!
