Star Citizen update, they are considering Vulkan

I don't understand how this can even be a question, if their earlier expressed intentions of going multi-platform hold any truth at all.

Quoting: TheBossNothing to do with us, contact Patreon or your bank if you're confused. An old GOL Patreon was shut down some time ago.

Nothing to do with you? I talk about this account:

Surely this account must have *something* to do with you, or I've been scammed for a long time. When was it that you shut it down?

Hmm this is worrying me. I've kept supporting the GOL Patreon page with monthly transfers for a long time now and am pretty sure my account has been deducted steadily up until now - since when should this no longer work?

Overlord, Overlord: Raising Hell and Overlord II look set for Linux ports soon

Overlord 2 were really great fun on the ps3. It's got a solid metascore too so this is a safe purchase of you like what you see in a trailer or two.

QuoteSteam in these cases is the lesser of two evils

I don't see Steam as evil at all? It's a digital distribution platform - so what? It's even a platform for free software. And like it's said in the article: No exclusivity periods, it's free for the users, it's cross platform, it's proven to be a reliable service, they support Linux.
Where's the evilness?

It's proprietary software with some DRM, that's probably the evil to which he's referring. That's perfectly relevant for us Linux users.

Not if you're a Linux gamer it's not. The games are closed source, sauced in commercial mechanics from all angles. To be a gamer and complain about the friggin distribution channel who distribute closed sourced software to not be open sourced, I'm sorry but that's just plain irrational.

DownWind is a beautiful looking casual game, be a leaf on the wind

A shame it is in 2D, a leaf should flow freely!

Quoting: scaineLike a 2D "Flower". In fact, if it's half the game Flower was, it's still a must-buy. I miss ThatGameCompany. I miss Journey. There's not much I miss from my PS3 days, but I miss that.

Yeah Flower was my immediate thought too - this is borderline rip-off. Fantastic games, those ThatGameCompany games. I even liked the first very much, Flow.

All I know is that I'm gonna buy it.

What game would you most like to see on Linux this year?
29 February 2016 at 2:35 pm UTC

Of old releases there's a lot, but I'd be very very happy if we got this trio:
Fallout 4
Dragon Age Inquisition
GTA5

Releases this year:
Scrap Mechanic
The Division

Future releases:
Cyberpunk 2077

Quoting: ElectricPrismI thirst for HD HQ games, it feels like we're in a drought or something this past week, or maybe my OCD of checking GamingOnLinux is just showing through a bit.

The day we're receiving AAA releases every *week* is quite far off yet. :)

But yeah I know what you mean. To check out GOL is part of my morning, lunch and even ritual as well. :)
