I have to try this update, because I always have issues recording my voice. It sounds like and old tape player running out of batteries.

Why Are We Still Dual Booting?
12 Mar 2015 at 7:04 pm UTC

Quoting: OZSeafordOK here is my take.

I would not have a windows partition if I did not have a friend in real life with whom I play online. He has windows and is open to Linux, but he will never leave windows, just because so many games he has do not run on Linux. And no I don't want to pressure him in any way to switch to Linux, we are not zealots. I have told him Linux was great but that is about it.

So when we game, and the game is on Linux, then all is good, otherwise if the game runs on Windows I have to boot on my windows hard drive. For example age of empires... The list is getting smaller, but it is there nethertheless.

And for the foreseeable future it will be like that.

As for my solo gaming, it is exclusively on Linux.
Something similar happens to me too, but in my case, as nowadays I only buy linux games we only play crossplatform games, and it works. Nowadays we are playing Borderlands 2 and as we are enjoining the trip instead of try to arrive to the end asap, time goes by and Dying Light (the next one we want to play together) will be fully fixed much before we finish the game (sure).

Why Are We Still Dual Booting?

Well, I have a windows partition and from time to time I dudalboot. Why? There isn't an specific reason. One day it could be a windows only program I must use (but this hasn't been a real reason since very long time ago), another day just because I want to keep my windows (8) partition updated (I hate the way windows manages the updates, I really hate), or because I want to test something in linux and windows.

Gaming haven't been a real reason since Valve announced Steam for linux. Yes I'm missing lots of games I really want to play, but in the end that is good, because I can't play too much (I don't have time to), so my list of unfinished (linux) games is becoming bigger and bigger.

Nowadays I'm committed to only Linux playing, and haven't dualbooted since very long time ago, but using windows as backup system in case something goes terribly wrong with linux (yes, I know about live distros), or just because I want to try something prevent me removing the windows partition.

Feral Interactive Are Behind The Batman: Arkham Knight, GRID Autosport And Company Of Heroes 2 Linux Ports

I like Rocksteady's Batman games, they are awesome, and I'm sure Arkaham Knight will be, so a port by Feral is a good warranty that it will be a good port.
Apart from Mordor I don't care too much about the others, but more games for linux are always good news.

Good news for us. It seems to be an interesting game. Let's hope that the Linux version isn't a bad port

Interesting lyrics - they made me think of Darksiders, but surely there's another dev already porting that? Then I looked at the Wikipedia page for Master of Puppets, the album on which this features :

"...was inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's short story "The Shadow Over Innsmouth", whose main protagonist battles unearthly forces. It is considered the heaviest track on the album whose main riff emulates a beast dragging itself into the sea"

Battling unearthly forces, eh? I'm still thinking that this is Darksiders related! Which would be superb, cos we've waited a long time for those two to appear.
actually, no. evolve had same day linux support i believe. (notice, i could be wrong)
I think you are wrong. Zero day linux support was for Dying Light, which has a multiplayer mode that is very similar to evolve. Evolve it's a windows only title (and ps4/xbox)
