Hooray for Feral! F1 2015 looks like a fun and welcome game, even though it has such bad reviews.

BTW, I wonder what Aspyr's been up to.

Linux is holding exactly where we thought it would in the Steam Hardware Survey

Not only it's a survey, it's apparently a non-random sample biased against Linux users (there are many testimonials of people never getting those surveys on their Linux partition but getting them frequently on their Windows one), so those OS percentages are probably underestimating the true percentage.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyNo apps for Netflix and similar webby multimedia stuff. That's something well within Valve's power to fix, they should get on it.
I may be the minority here, but that's actually the biggest thing that drove me away from the Xbox 360. I wanted a simple videogame system, not an OS that clumsily tries to do everything my computer already does marvellously.

It's always good to read good reviews on Steam Machines, but I think quality trumps quantity as gaming goes. It doesn't matter how many games a system has at its disposal, we're not getting many people's attention until we get franchises even non-gamers recognise as big deals, like GTA and Fallout. Let's keep pushing forward, though!

Quoting: neowiz73I've been distro hopping for the paste month and each time I installed steam on a clean build and had to setup the initial login I would get the steam survey every time.
I'm starting to think about setting up a Live USB just to boot up once a month, install and log into Steam. Since we know the survey is biased, we should do something to lessen it.

It really is worrying that Valve doesn't seem to care about the official launch of its own product. Even if it's a long race, they should at least have published something on their news page, something like "We've got some nice surprises for Linux and Steam OS gamers planned for 2016, so sit tight!"
