Joe, it's not yet a matter of "when", it's still a big "if".

Quoting: OZSeafordI bought it with all the DLC's as was hoping it would come to linux one day
I did the same thing with XCOM: EU, but no DLCs. Is buying DLCs (or the games themselves) after an eventual Linux announcement help bring attention to Linux? How does Steam count OS usage, by the OS on which a game is installed or what?

Quoting: Maquis196Damn, I promised myself i'd play it once it came out on Linux. People seem to love it but I find it really dumbed down compared to Civ4 (my favourite outside of AC).

Whats the consensus here? People love/hate Civ5?

Oh and I have all the expansion packs, I keep trying to give it a go but...
Honestly, I had already accepted skipping Civ V and going straight to Beyond Earth, but now I guess I'll buy both just to show my appreciation.

Quoting: wleoncioSo as far as one could tell from SteamDB is Civ V as likely to come to Linux as XCOM: EU?
Not sure, it's all speculation of course until someone confirms it.
I see, but do you know of any records of a game acquiring "Signs of Linux Support" status and then reverting back to "No Linux Launch Config" or something like that?

The only problem I see with using "SteamOS" instead of "Linux" is that I can't read that name without picturing John Stamos. :|

I'd probably buy Castle Crashers again (had it on Xbox 360) if it came to Linux.
