On my setup there's nearly no performance difference, although disabling vsync made it noticeably smoother whereas the toggle appeared to make no difference before.

FWIW it appears to be getting mostly negative reviews on Steam, mostly from those disgruntled by it being a horrible port in the first place. I was just about to buy it too.

Now I wish the only few matches that could be found didn't have cheaters plaguing them. It's, unfortunately, a better experience with bots IMHO.

Quoting: TermyNot great - but as the explicitly said they will make sure it is tested on proton, i'm halfway fine with that. A properly supported proton is better than a half-assed, barely working native port imho.I'm fine with this as well. I'd rather a title I know works via Proton than a native port that doesn't work at all, and I've a few of those.

Oh man, I hope videos are posted of some of those cheaters being banned live! In the couple of decades I've been playing online, I've found cheaters are always dog shit to online PvP gaming—ban them or siphon them off to cheater-only servers. They want to cry "it's just a game!" Call the cheaters-only server 'It's Just a Game!' where their cheats will only randomly work, see how long they stick around.
