The Long Dark gets a massive update, which fixes a critical Linux audio bug

I'm real glad they fixed that bug, it was a pain. For anyone on the fence, the game is great and it's a full game as-is, no need to wait for full release, it could release now and I wouldn't be disappointed.

Face hell in 'Devil Daggers', now available for Linux

I played for two (near immediate) deaths, watched Samsai's replay, then exited immediately. I think the comparisons to Super Hexagon are apt, super punishing at the beginning, but on average you survive a second or two longer per run. But it's not really for picking up and playing for fun until you get pretty good.

it's hotline miami meets gunpoint; it takes a lot of deaths and a nice balance of planning and reacting on the fly to win.

just FYI though, there's a brutal bug in the linux version right now where enemy NPCs don't use stairs. This makes some of the later levels basically impossible to complete. The devs are looking into it.

EDIT: there's no permadeath, it's the same as gunpoint or HLM, you will die many times on each level until you figure out a good approach

Darkest Dungeon updated, has some needed Linux fixes

this was (is) my favourite game from the last year of linux ports. If you like turn-based strategy and roguelikes you can't miss it. IMO the combat is less RNG-based than XCOM (which I also love); a few misses in a row in Darkest Dungeon doesn't end up with a wipe as often as it can in XCOM.

Nice catch! Bought it

EDIT: Just FYI for me Reus performs terribly

Quoting: melkemindIsn't DD2 coming to Linux? Why bother fixing the old one now? The last time I played it, I was able to get it working fine with a little fiddling with the controls.
Same for me, I didn't have any serious problems with the port, and put some decent time in. It was a good time, I might try it again.
