Welp, if I wasn't a fan of GOG already, I'd sure be one now.

"Shortly after release."

Still no Linux release, eh?

The developers of Armello are facing a bit of a backlash over the DLC not coming to GOG

I've got the game on GOG and I was thinking of picking it up on Steam. Now I'm happy I haven't done so, and I've removed it from my wishlist.

Quoting: scaineAll that "linux is so hard to test against" bullshit really rubs me the wrong way. It is, in fact, a much simpler prospect than Windows - one supported O/S, three graphics drivers.
Actually 5 graphics drivers (Intel Open Source Awesomeness, AMD OSA, AMD Proprietary Garbage, Nvidia OSA, Nvidia PG).

But unless there's a difference in the input stack between Ubuntu MATE and OpenSUSE TW, it's weird that Liam has keyboard glitches. It could be the difference between using libinput and evdev? All I know is that I don't have any issues (and the latest patch doesn't seem to have introduced any).

Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

I've heard good things about the Solus project, as they've apparently done a bunch of customizations for their version of the Steam launcher/runtime/whatever.

I haven't tested it out myself, though, as gaming is not very high up my list of things to do on a PC.

That's so weird, I didn't have even a single issue with either input or graphics... Although I haven't played the game with the new patch yet, so I'll give it a look.

Welp, that's the issue with Linux, I guess: ten different users will have ten different experiences.

Speaking of Ico and Ghibli, how about The Girl and The Robot, eh?

What have you been playing recently and how is it?

Quoting: ShmerlWhat do you think about the endings? I like the game, but it feels they didn't work on the endings enough. Feels they were cut short of thoroughly explaining what happened.
I'll let you know when I get there. So far though, I've been thinking that I'll need to play through again, because I keep feeling like I missed something. As though I skipped over a dialogue that had some background info I need.

Dex: Amazing atmosphere, decent writing, pretty good game feel. Kinda reminds me of the old SNES Shadowrun game.

XCOM: Enemy Within: This game is broken. I've tried both under OpenSUSE TW and under Mint 18; whenever I finish my first mission (I'm not doing the tutorial) it crashes when I return to base. I installed Windows 10 on an older PC I have and it worked fine on there, so I just imported that save and continued under TW (and about a dozen missions later I'm not getting any crashes). I've let Feral know, so we'll see.
Apart from that, it's as much fun as always.
