Quoting: ShmerlWhat do you think about the endings? I like the game, but it feels they didn't work on the endings enough. Feels they were cut short of thoroughly explaining what happened.I'll let you know when I get there. So far though, I've been thinking that I'll need to play through again, because I keep feeling like I missed something. As though I skipped over a dialogue that had some background info I need.

Dex: Amazing atmosphere, decent writing, pretty good game feel. Kinda reminds me of the old SNES Shadowrun game.
XCOM: Enemy Within: This game is broken. I've tried both under OpenSUSE TW and under Mint 18; whenever I finish my first mission (I'm not doing the tutorial) it crashes when I return to base. I installed Windows 10 on an older PC I have and it worked fine on there, so I just imported that save and continued under TW (and about a dozen missions later I'm not getting any crashes). I've let Feral know, so we'll see.
Apart from that, it's as much fun as always.

Even when the full release comes out, Linux is gonna be a very small fraction of sales, and probably not worth it.
Way I see it you support Linux for the ideology, not for profit margins.

Quoting: Grim85Don't give newbies arch, when an untested package breaks it they are going to blame "Linux" and go back Windows. Not if they don't upgrade their boxes.
Quoting: "neowiz73"I guess 2016 may in fact be the "year of the linux desktop"2012 was the year of the Linux desktop (Ubuntu 12.04 was so good). But 2016 may be the year we make the Linux desktop great again.

Quoting: CreakThere are 349 "vanilla" Ubuntu, but KDE is first in the DE's list. Considering the distributions stats, we should have Unity on top, then a fight between KDE and GNOME.What about people who installed plain Ubuntu and afterwards installed the superior Plasma DE themselves?

Aw, so few geekos. Well, I guess it makes sense that gamers tend more towards the *buntu side of Linux, as that's what Steam and GoG recommend.

People will stop using the term "PC" to mean "Windows", as soon as people stop using the term "Linux" to mean "GNU/Linux".
I still say Linux, so it might take a while.

Anyway... good thing there are a bunch of alternatives, though some of them might need a bit more work on the game feel.

Quoting: meracoIs this even legal?Er, yes. I mean, why wouldn't it be? It's their game, they're free to do whatever they want with it.

The game is pretty decent until the ending.
I know that there've been plenty of games with happy good endings, and occasionally a bit more of a downer can't hurt, but seriously.
If you want a downer ending done well, play Persona 3. LIS doesn't manage the same quality of writing.
At least, in my opinion.
