Crytek In Trouble, Could Be Bad News For Homefront On Linux

And I find it strange that you "know" a game is going to suck when you haven't even played it yet.

Quoting: GuestI beg to differ. I thought Crysis 2 was an excellent game and one of the best FPS of the year it came out, but it was no surprised that it sold less than Crysis 1.Quoting: abelthorneWell, Crytek (the main company) has had difficulties these last years with games selling far less than expected (Crysis 2, Ryse...) and buying a lot of other dev studios. So it's not really a big surprise.Naturally, Crysis 2 and Ryse were bad games.
There are rumours about Deep Silver buying Crytek UK (and probably completing the development of Homefront 2).

I doubt it's coming out anytime soon, they been mentioning Linux support for 2 years now I think? And despite putting this game on an updated infinity engine, they're more buggy than the original games.
Anyway, I rather GoG work on wine ports for the BG games. At least my favorite mods will be compatible with those ports.

From what I understand, this only affects third party porters. I know the guy who created Stanley Parable said that he can see Linux sales.

Quoting: FutureSutureConsidering that I read that article before seeing the GOL article, I still stand by what I said.Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyCheck the source on which this editorial is based.Ahhh, what Ubisoft really means is that current DRM is failing, so new DRM needs to be brought in to fix this. Got it. To my knowledge, Ubisoft does not yet have a presence on Linux, but with Windows gamers constantly getting shafted, do Linux gamers want such a company to join the fray?I must be reading somebody radically different, because I'm pretty sure what they said doesn't equal DRM. Services could be anything, from achievements to free roaming multiplayer.
