Quoting: foobrewWishlisted and will definitely be grabbing this one as soon as it's on sale. Seems like it's also in the same vein as Darkside Detective (one of my all-time favs - both versions). Kinda surprised I haven't heard of this one until now.If you're into point and click (and into Facebook), this group mentions many games [External Link]. Voodo Detective was among it. There's also many developers there, it seems.

I don't like the optics too much, but 71 of 71 reviews positive, in my favorite genre, that's too good to miss.

Quoting: slaapliedjeMad Max was so good, I rarely want to go back and play newer games, and even rarer does one capture my attention enough to play through to the end (including the new Tomb Raider games) but Mad Max was awesome. And after they added Vulkan, the performance boost was phenomenal.I think it was the only Feral port I gave up on after some hours. Felt too tedious for me.

Maybe they'll still do Total Wars? (...but that's not my thing.)
When reading about these little changes I envisioned a Feral employee, Linux fan, doing a bit for the penguin lovers in their free time.

Quoting: GuestI'm pessimistic since they didn't port "Tell Me Why", although they did port the predecessors.Quoting: Whitewolfe80So time will tell, one can hope!Quoting: GuestThe nice thing for me is that they are still developing for Linux. You ll be waiting a long time they no longer support gaming ports to linux
Looking forward to more stunning ports from Feral guys.

Quoting: soulsourceYep, the GameplayEffects framework is pretty powerful and helps structuring the blueprints to avoid ending up with Blueprints from hell [External Link].Nice, a blueprint for water that itself looks like water. :D

Considering all the issues with Unity lately from joining with ironSource, their CEO calling some game developers "fucking idiots" and when that made the news that same CEO said on Twitter it was "Clickbait" only to then later apologise [External Link], this might be a good time for Epic Games to push their way through to pull in even more developers into their ecosystem. The apology [External Link] is worth reading.

I got 50% of my Steam library tested now, so they seem to do a good job of getting the more important games tested first.

Quoting: soulsourceYou might want to read 5.8.Quoting: GuestWe've done it. We've actually reached a point in the debate where not only is using Proton better than native titles, it's all actually been native the whole time.Who said it's better? The "native" discussion is actually answered quite well on the WINE FAQ [External Link].

I know all you've written. But you left out that every single call into the Windows(!) API has to be translated, during runtime. It is not native, it is translated into native. Like a human language interpreter doesn't make English native German - they translate.

Quoting: soulsourceWhen writing my posting, I wondered if I should mention that I am programming for 38 years and that I'm professional software developer for over two decades. It seems I should have.
