I expect this to be taken over, it is interesting enough. Which would be exactly the course of action that makes me feel happy to use open source. ;)

Sad for the dev, and I wish him to be at peace whatever is happening to him. CoreCtrl is such a great tool. Exactly the kind of software that make me feel happy to use linux. Hopefully someone will get into it and continue the project in one form or another.

Second pet peeve: no option to disable creepy playtime tracking. For some weird reason disabling the playtime sync is deemed sufficient.Hmm... Isn't playtime recording a good thing, for some self-insights?

Personally I've been using a xbox one controller connected via usb for some time now and have had no problems what so ever. Tried a few cheaper controllers over the time but find the xbox one does the job well. If or when the time comes to find a new controller I may take a look at the 8BItDO one but currently very happy with what i have. The company's name sounds soo appropriate for an 80sJoystickman though!

Is it a very strange exception that I think the controller should work just fine without firmware updates (but only driver updates)?

"…need Windows…" hard pass on that. It was looking great up until that. I figure at least the non-addressable buttons could be fixed with a firmware update… maybe.

Myself, I'm a M & K guy. I do own a Xbox 360 and a Steam Controller. But due to increasing controller needs, just yesterday two 8BitDo Ultimate 2C wired controllers arrived. (I was surprised Xbox 360 controller is not sold anymore - now I got two new controllers for less than the price of one of those!) I read a very positive review and they do feel quite good! At first they didn't work in Minecraft OOTB, but with a quick little kernel upgrade (thanks, Debian backports!), I'm fine and set.
SteamOS 3.7.7 Beta brings a Battery Charge Limit option and improved Lenovo Legion Go S support

Is it not reasonable to expect this SteamOS Beta branch, that's in development to support other devices, to leave the Beta state simultaneously with this Lenovo device release ? It can only make sense for the OS to be in a Stable state when the device comes out, right ?I could imagine all three variants: simultaneously (IMHO the least likely), SteamOS first, device first. I mean... there's already a device running SteamOS without it being "released", right? And Lenovo won't wait until Valve declares some general readiness,
Upcoming Steam update should fix lag spikes on Linux when the Steam Overlay is disabled

But besides not wanting to randomly have stuff removed: game immersion.

Other than troubleshooting an issue directly related to the overlay, I can't think of a reason to disable the overlay? Why are so many folk doing so??Well, Steam overlay was so broken that it announced to delete files/uninstall stuff on my system.
But besides not wanting to randomly have stuff removed: game immersion.

"European Union funded"? That does not sound good given the European Unions recent actions. I'd be waryWhich actions?
