Quoting: MohandevirThe last piece of hint is pretty awesome, but is Ninja Theory Linux friendly? Liam might be in a better position to answer that. From an outisder's point of view, it's hard to tell. It seems to be a small studio, on Steam at least, with about 3 games + DLCs (am I wrong?). None of them are on Linux yet. Maybe it's about to change though?I think it would fit their "indie triple-A" attitude quite well.

(I do guess it's Feral's decision, though.)

Quoting: Alm888Occam's Razor, my friend, Occam's Razor. Between "they are tied up with contractual obligations with third parties" and "it is their own business decision" one should choose the later (only 1 actor instead of 2) until it is proved contradicting other aspects. How about choosing "We don't know."?

Quoting: SeegrasNo matter if I agree with your understanding of the word, there's extremism that everybody should frown upon and that we should not call mainstream for whoever.Quoting: EikeYou're talking about something completely different. "Extremism" per se just means you have in some area a position that goes far beyond what most people think even as outlying.Quoting: SeegrasYour extremism is somebody elses mainstream. And "not giving extremism a platform" is thus nothing else but an extremist position in itself.Really?

Karl Popper about the problem ( "paradox of tolerance" ):
Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. — In this formulation, I do not imply, for instance, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies; as long as we can counter them by rational argument and keep them in check by public opinion, suppression would certainly be unwise. But we should claim the right to suppress them if necessary even by force; for it may easily turn out that they are not prepared to meet us on the level of rational argument, but begin by denouncing all argument; they may forbid their followers to listen to rational argument, because it is deceptive, and teach them to answer arguments by the use of their fists or pistols. We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPI don't get this problem.Well, I followed the new releases filtered by OS for quite some time - and stopped doing so...
Whenever I go to Steam, I simply don't see any of these shovelware games outside of the "new releases" tab. I rarely to never have them suggested to me in the queue, they do not appear in my front page suggestions and they certainly aren't recommended by curators I follow.

I see allot of sci-fi movies and stuff these days with people putting lots of hack-able and exploitable stuff in their body, people of the future sure seem ultra naive!

Quoting: kaimanI used to, when they still made P&C adventures. Oh well, I like them for their continued Linux support and some of the stuff they publish these days is decent too. From the list above I got the Deponia games (of course!) and Caravan. I hear that Shadow Tactics is really excellent, just not my cup of tea. I like it laid back and relaxed ...Do fetch Anna'a Quest then! It's such a nice, slightly dark but still lovely story... (Be prepared for minor bugs.)
