Quoting: KohlyKohlHopefully this will run well with only 6GB. I don't feel like paying $100 to upgrade my ram.Depending on your configuration, you might be able add 4 GB for ~30 bucks or 2 GB for ~15.

The videos both were interesting.
The central point that I didn't get is in the first video at about 4:00: Cards of worthless games, probably worthless themselves, can be converted to gems and these can be sold or converted to valuable cards.

I happened to have tried the demo yesterday - yes, there's a demo available [External Link], also for Linux!
Unfortunately, I didn't get into it. The small but irritating graphical glitches (on Nvidia) probably played a role in this. Maybe I'll give it a second shot later...

Quoting: MrokiiAh, no, I meant the game I mentioned is too special, not your description! :)Quoting: EikeNow, this is too special for a recommendation,Heh, well my third try would then be this: Platforming is fine, as long as it doesn't end in bullet hell and unfair bosses.
Quoting: MrokiiThe games I remember having enjoyed very much (independent of category): the Penumbra-seriesAmnesia, SOMA?
Quoting: MrokiiHalf Life 1Bioshock Infinite?
Quoting: Mrokiitext- and "click & point"-adventures like the Lucasfilm-series and others.Day of the Tentacle, Harvey's new Eyes, Thimbleweed Park, Deponia series, Book of Unwritten Tales 1 & 2, Broken Sword 5, Gemini Rue, Journey Down, Blackwell series, Shivah?
Quoting: MrokiiLimboSwapper, Closure?
Quoting: MrokiiMetro: Last LightTomb Raider?
Quoting: MrokiiPortal 1 +2Portal Stories: Mel (the hard mode is very hard - and thus very satisfying when solved), Antichamber, Talos Principle?
Quoting: MrokiiShovel KnightMaze of Galious (MSX)? :)

Platforming, lots of exploration and mysteries, made by the wizards of Konami. Can't say too much about the bosses though. It even featured some "saving" ability by getting a code at some place that you could enter to return at that state. Nowadays, you could always save using an emulator's capabilities.

Quoting: MrokiiSorry, I should have been a bit more specific, I guess. I am rather into (platforming) games that have a lot of exploration possibilities (like in Hollow Knight), but not quite as tough bosses (also, like in Hollow Knight). Basically, metroidvania-like games that don't require expert-skills when it comes to boss-fights.Now, this is too special for a recommendation, but one of the very few games from my youth that in my humble opinion stood the test of time is this one on MSX:

Looked through the games I played and came up with...
FEZ

Quoting: MrokiiI'm into more casual (not necessarily easy or short) games, basically where exploration and finding secrets is the main aspect. I realise that this may not be the right place, but if anybody has suggestions I'd love to hear them.Your description is rather broad.

Feral announce that Dawn of War III will use both OpenGL and Vulkan
26 May 2017 at 9:13 pm UTC
I guess Vulkan is not ready yet to run well on all cards and (Linux) drivers, so they need OpenGL as well.
26 May 2017 at 9:13 pm UTC
Quoting: AimelaWell, they're porting to Mac OS as well, so they're kind of forced to develop for OpenGL there because Apple will not support Vulkan since they want to use their own API called Metal. Since they had to make the game work in OpenGL anyway, they probably just kept it in the Linux version for reasons such as compatibility and it's not really any more effort for them. They do use Metal for the game on Mac.

Quoting: themixturemediaThis looks like it would and will be a great kids game. Linux needs more fun kids games just as much as adult AAA games. I would 100% buy this for my daughter I think she would love this game.If you didn't do yet, take a look at this one, could be fun in co-op with her!

I totally prefer moderation to a toxic environment. Reading GoL should be fun and at least my fun is spoiled by some kinds of behaviour. That said, I'm a regular reader for quite some time now and didn't notice anything. What has happened? Did I miss the right articles?
