Quoting: edddeduck_feralOr (more likely?) developers will think we have all these unused CPU cycles now, lets increase the complexity and make use of them! ;) History shows if you have spare cycles people don't make lower powered devices they make more complex games :)
... or just less optimization.

I guess you should put some fat note at the beginning of the article that these results turned out not to be valid with a pointer to the new ones.

Quoting: edddeduck_feralThe engines are completely unrelated custom engines written by two seperate developers. They are not as related as XCOM and XCOM 2 for example.

Hahaha. Their Vulkan renderer is still definitely faster which is great, but it's too bad it's still 40-50% the speed of the DX version, but that's ports for you and any improvement to ports is good. I just hope we start getting pure native Vulkan releases soon especially now that Unity3D 5.6 is out with Vulkan.
It seems you were the one who found the problem? Thanks for pointing out!

Quoting: BeamboomI see several of you guys discuss user ratings and the motive behind them. You should stop caring so much about the user ratings and read the professional reviews instead. There it is properly explained why they set the score that they do, furthermore they use a lot more fine-grained score system than a simple thumb up/down.
I don't think so. A game in a genre I like being liked by many people that are into the genre as well turned out to be a good indicator for being fun for me. I additionally read professional reviews (on paper). But I never got why a 100 step score would be any more than fake precise.
