Quoting: lucinosFrozen Synapse!Quoting: KimyrielleI am a huge Civ fan, but it's honestly not a game I'd play multiplayer. Turn-based games and multiplayer don't mix very well IMHO. Still good to see this implemented for the people who wanted it. :)Turn based games that have relatively small turns and players can do their turns concurrently (still turn based) can be pretty good for multiplayer.
F1 2016 won't be coming to Linux, as sales of F1 2015 weren't strong enough

@all, including myself:
Do buy Feral ports at Feral store if at all possible.
Imagine Linux gaming without them.

Quoting: UltraAltesBrotThat means other Feral ports seem to have been a financial success.. which is good i guess?How many of them had a sequel ported to prove?

Quoting: silmethIf you had an earlier version of Windows, maybe. That’s still not free of charge for people looking for an OS for their OS-less hardware, nor free-as-in-freedom. ;-)I had Vista, so it wouldn't be free for me.

Quoting: silmethStrange. I come to the Gaming on Windows 10 site to read some proper Win10 and Xbox Live content, hopefully with modern cutting-edge technologies like DX12, and what I see is articles about some Vulkan in Unity games on Linux. Shite.These Linnux suxors are just to cheap for a real os...!
Some notes and benchmarks about a performance regression in Mad Max's OpenGL rendering

I fear these are more realistic numbers. Would be happy to be wrong, of course. I think we can be happy when Mad Max runs without its frame rate drops and in weaker processors.
Mad Max meets Vulkan in a new fully public beta for Linux, benchmarks and OpenGL vs Vulkan comparisons

Quoting: GuestPlease run test(s) on version 1.0 and post your results if you find the same big regression I found. You'll have to test using the same scene since 1.0 doesn't have the same benchmark mode I guess?I wondered: How do you get Mad Max 1.0? That's the old version after a recent upgrade, I figure?

Quoting: ArdjeAccording to https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver [External Link], "Full Vulkan support is available for Windows and Linux in our general release drivers", like 375.39, which is contained in Debian stretch [External Link]. 375.27 "provide new features for Vulkan developers to test their upcoming Vulkan applications" is not packaged in Debian (non-free), it seems. The post from feral says "Requires NVIDIA driver version 375.26 or later.", though, wich is even in jessie-backports [External Link].Quoting: Doc AngeloSadly, it segfaults on me. :( Normal version works fine, though.I think you need the 375.27 branch, as that seems to be the version for vulkan and vr development.
I'm on Debian Stretch, using Nvidia driver 375.39 from the Debian repository. "vulkaninfo" seems to report that Vulkan works. I sent a mail with logs to Feral support.

Quoting: g000hIs anyone playing the Vulkan Beta on Nvidia, Debian Jessie Backports. For me neither this (Mad Max vulkan beta) or Serious Sam Fusion beta run on Vulkan. They both crash immediately. Serious Sam Fusion works on OpenGL mode. My NVidia Graphics driver version is: 375.26Same here for Mad Max. I've sent a crash report and my data to Feral. They've proposed to install the beta client of Steam, but didn't help.
