Wow. Verb list is very old school. But I'll play it anyway of course. :)

Valve have three new VR games in development

Quoting: skinnyrafA recipe for great fun in VR:

1. Put both portals on the floor.
2. Jump into one of portals.
3. Emerge from the other portal.
4. Flip 180 degrees and fall back into the portal.
5. Rinse and repeat.
6. Puke violently.

:)
I managed that without even using VR...! ;)

No, seriously: One time I couldn't find my way out of the holes and found it hard to stand it.

Quoting: Ads20000Am I understanding this right? These guys port other companies' games to Mac and Linux with their permission?
Feral? Yes. They are buying the right to port the game, get the source (and hopefully some support) and then publish these versions for own account (I hope my translation website is right on the last one: they have all expenses and get all the money). Feral is the main publisher of big games on Linux.

Wow! I always wanted to try one of the modern Telltale adventures...

Quoting: EhvisIt seems odd that Valve would be actively helping with competition for the Vive. Maybe this is something different. Maybe a Hololens type thing to complement the VR set?
Wasn't Vive presented as the first example of Steam VR?
Either way, it's good to see more companies stepping into the ring.

Quoting: tuubiThat is the question. My most played game on Steam happens to be Mad Max at ~90h and I cannot imagine investing much more than that on a single game. I'm sure some online games take a lot more time and dedication, which is probably one reason I never properly got into any of them.
After about a hundred hours, I'm fed up with even the best single player games. Multiplayer is something different, you can always have different experiences when the opponents are humans.

Some thoughts on Realpolitiks, a real-time grand strategy game now on Linux

Quoting: GuestExcept that’s not why all countries around the world have huge debts. I’m not sure why you feel attacked and are trying to ridicule me. You should read about money creation.
I don't feel attacked. I'm wondering about strange concepts of the world and show what's strange about them. You were talking about debt being artificial. Debt is the concept of "I give you something but you must give it back." It is very natural.

Is money creation part of the game?

Quoting: GuestI like that it has a good tutorial (according to this review) as that’s the reason why I couldn’t play CK2 and stopped Tropico 5 in the middle of the tutorial. However the mention of having to manage these artificial creations that are "unemployment" and "debt" tells me it’s a game that simply follows the existing broken system in place in the real world and as such isn’t very interesting.
Yeah. Totally artificial, this concept of "I give you something but you must give it back."
I'm sure it's extremely hard to explain to a two year old or an Neandertal man. Not.

Hm...!

I liked Shadow of Mordor, but got bored over time with its Ubisoft formula. So I just played through the main story in the second half. I wonder if I should do the same with this one. Either case it would be great to have it ported on Linux!
