The 'Humble Freedom Bundle' is huge and well worth picking up

Quoting: GuestI don’t find this bundle interesting. I don’t like that the devs get nothing.
It seems the devs wanted to help gather donations. They are donating their games to reach that.

Valve set to replace Greenlight with Steam Direct

Quoting: ArthurDo not forget about free (gratis) games, including Free and Open Source games. Sure they can use itch.io and other stores, but the potential audience is so much larger on Steam.
Good point.
I was happy to find these on Steam...:

They are going to need to do something about their "newly released" lists, as they will get rammed.
There already is a list of "popular new games", though:

Quoting: Teodosiowe need to start some serious pushing if we want to get somewhere.
Fortunately, I already am somewhere: at the place where I've got more good stuff to play than time.
Of course, even more choice would be great, but I'm relaxed about it, as it's already good as it is.

While I can't follow throgh's arguments, yours are worse. Just accept that he wants it for the sake of having a freedom without the purpose of actually abusing it.

Not in my Steam client.
Holy crap you're right, the option was removed.
Wanted to look where the option is to show him - didn't find it either.

Quoting: GuestI would also prefer if Feral and others (Aspyr, Croteam…) made DRM-free releases on DRM-free platforms, because with Steam a tiny change by Valve can mean I don’t have access to my games anymore. Tomb Raider stopped working here, but I have no idea if it’s because of a game update (that are impossible to prevent with Steam), a Steam client update, or a system update.
Then again, the later could happen with a DRM free download as well. If there's an update, Steam would automatically install it for you, while for a DRM free download, you would need to do yourself. If there's an update, that is (applies to both ways obviously).

Or I have old information? Making my concurrent Linux-distribution to another closed system with dongled services? No thanks!
One of the big releases lately has been reported to be not copy protected at all, while the Windows version had Denuvo. (Can't remember which game it was). Don't know about others. Or are you opposed to Steam as payment and download portal in the first place and don't care if there's actual DRM?
