Quoting: natewardawgEdit: It looks like they've moved the files now so your download should work if you use the new links available in their forum post: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/unity-on-linux-release-notes-and-known-issues.350256/ [External Link]It's till hard to get for me (it's the link in the last post, right?), but with wget, I succeeded, it just reconnects after the disconnect.

I cannot imagine that they would give such an answer if they never intended to port Witcher 3.
I can hardly imagine such an answer if hey would have given up on it either.
It might mean something like "We have somone trying, but are not sure it will work out."

Quoting: FeistIs it really confirmed that neither of these titles will come to Linux though? All I've read about either one is hearsay, speculation and pessimistic assumptions.Shmerl told in the forum that he recently got this answer from CDPR when asking aboout Witcher 3:

My First Hours With A Steam Link

I'm not looking out for the Link itself, I already have got a HTPC (VDR) Linux box at my TV and wonder what I can do with it Steam-wise... :) It may even run smaller games on its own.
I'm already looking for some modern MiMo powerline adapters.

Quoting: MyeulCI haven't tried the steam link itself, but I was able to play some games quite fine with steam in-home streaming with powerline adapters.Cool, thanks for sharing!

Has anybody tried this over WiFi and/or power-line? As I don't see how I could have a cable between my PC and my TV, I wonder if especially power-line could be fast and reliable enough.
Edit: I'm reading through this thread, and it seems to vary widely...

Looks Like Mad Max Won't Come To SteamOS & Linux

Do not do any of the following:
[...]
* Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, rickrolls)
But having people express their will to buy a product if it meets certain criteria (Linux port) is far from spam and very far from say rickrolling. Most times, a +1 does not add anything. An argument doesn't get any better by someone signing it as well, it has to stand on its own, on it's contents. But for peopling interested in a product, it makes a huge different if it's 1, 100 or a million. There, the number of supporting people is a decisive difference.

Quoting: TheBossDoing a simple "+1" post is actually against Steam's own rules, someone quoted it to me before but it's true.I know that this is the case if read literally:

In the forum of Stranded Deep, the local moderators considered a thread asking for a Linux port with "+1" posts - which didn't derail or anything - as spam and deleted it. They felt like everybody else was doing it wrong allowing such threads and they were the only ones paying attention. :-/
My Thoughts On SteamOS After Some Time With It

The interface is okay, although there are a few rough spots. I find that the initial home page is rather unwelcoming and empty looking. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is. It has buttons to go everywhere you would expect, but it just looks so barren. It should have a "Continue playing" section like the library has. Because that's what we want to do most of the time, right?
