First-Person Puzzle Game The Talos Principle Due For Release Today, Available For Pre-Loading

Quoting: Segata SanshiroI really enjoyed the demo and love the concept for the game, but still think £27 is just asking a crazy amount for it. In my pre-PC days I would have had no problem paying that, but since on Steam you could buy at least 3 great games for that money, finding it harder and harder to part with my cash. I guess I'll wait a while, still really looking forward to it though :)
Steam made you a cheapskate.
And me as well.

But some days ago I read an old article in my own blog from about two years ago where I wrote that a point-and-click adventure for 35 Euros is cheap. This made me rethink pricings and buy The Talos Principle.

Metro 2033 Redux & Metro Last Light Redux Launch On Linux, Sorta (UPDATED)

Quoting: EKRboiThat said In the short time I played(30-ish min) it locked up on me twice so it is not very stable for me unfortunately and about every minute or so it hiccups pretty hard for a second. Other than that it is running 60fps no problem.
Just to make sure: I had hiccups with Talos Principle, and they're gone since I switched to performance CPU governor. Have you enabled that?

Quoting: damarrinChange the user agent in your browser to pretend it's running on Linux? ;-)
Good idea! There's another advantage to that, you'll get to see games filtered for Linux by default.

Just preordered that. They've done great teasing with the demo and their support and it looks like an interesting game, surely for the puzzles and hopefully for the background story. And due to the demo, I know that it will work.

Quoting: OZSeafordNow, what happens if I buy my games (windows and Linux) via my Android App? If it is a windows game and I never install it, it stands to reason that they will make it count towards a Windows purchase.
Aspyr or Feral, can't remember, said that Windows is the default.
So this would be a Windows sale.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Is Set To Be Released For Linux This Month

I was buying the humble bundle back than in... spring? hoping for Giana Sisters among others. I already had given up hope when I saw the developers resonding in this very thread. I don'T care too much if it's decembre or february when it works good then.

Now that's interesting!

About the sales counting for Linux, it seems you can "heal" a Windows buy by playing on Linux - wouldn't recommend that, though.

Speculation: BioShock Infinite Might Be an eON port

Quoting: sevI never had issues with Witcher2 (I also have Nvidia, and am using the Nvidia drivers rather than nouveau). So if Bioshock:Infinite is eON, I have no problem with this. If it's easy to port games with eON, bring them ALL on. Seriously, I don't see a downside here.
I did have issues with the performance of The Witcher 2, and I'm using nvidia closed source drivers as well.
