Caves of Qud, the crazy-deep roguelike is having a price increase this week so act fast

According to the update announcing the change, the dev suggests this is part of the run up to the 1.0 release. From what the dev told me, the early game content is finally going to get some attention prior to that, after being largely untouched for more than a decade.

Quoting: liamdaweProbably a good choice to introduce a younger audience to the side-scrolling shoot 'em up genre but not good enough for anyone even somewhat skilful at such games.
I think one problem shooters have is that "somewhat skillful at such games" seems to be the base for them. There's no entry level at all, you just need to already be good somehow (or willing to put up with a lot of frustration) in order to play them in the first place. This would be a good shooter for people like me who simply aren't good at frantic shooters.

I have never seen this played without it being a speedrun. Is it fun to play other ways (like stealth, etc.)?

Time travel from one medieval looking realm to....another pretty much identical medieval looking realm!

It does look fun to play, but they really don't do much of a job communicating what role the time travel thing is supposed to play.

The trailer makes it look like movement, even out of combat, is frustratingly slow. Hopefully that's not actually the case, but it's the impression I get.

Sorry, I'm just giggling about the idea of Japanese developers preferring unpretentious games in a world where the Metal Gear Solid series exists. A lot of JRPGs have a taste for the melodramatic, honestly.

That aside, some of the visuals and the monsters in this look really sharp, and I definitely get that inspired-by-Earthbound vibe, the same way Undertale had it but going in a different direction. From what little we've got to go on from the trailer, it looks pretty fun for folks into that sort of style.

Be prepared to build from nothing as 'Kingdom Two Crowns' now has a Linux beta

I've played the first one, but I found I would always die, even when following a guide, shortly after destroying the first portal. Somehow I got the second one, probably in a bundle, but I haven't really sat down and tried it out much. Maybe I should.

That is about as comparable as an elephant to a frying pan.
To make a truly special grilled cheese, you need an African forest elephant. Bush elephants will do the job, but do you want a good sandwich, or a great one?

Quoting: NezchanSo is this one actually designed with people who wear glasses in mind? As far as I can tell, every VR headset on the market so far treats that as an afterthought, which is weird given the sheer number of glasses-wearers, presumably even on the engineering teams.
From what I've heard the Vive always had enough room for glasses. I'm sure Valve will do the same with the Index.
I can confirm. My wife wears glasses, i head a vive running in my work for 2 months for testing, with a lot of ppl who wear glasses, there were no problems!
How is it on the ears? I, and a lot of other glasses wearers, have problems with headphones due to that.
