I backed it, but I'm basically waiting for it to be complete before actually playing it (aside from seeing if it runs at all, which I've done). Looke very impressive so far though.

Not sure why they're trying to make a connection to DOOM with the name and visual style of the logo. There's nothing else in the trailer that makes any kind of callback to it.

Perhaps a more fitting name would be Linux Gaming News Pinch (pinch; noun - a very small amount)
Not sure the 'punch' idiom is working.
But a punch is quick and has great impact.

This goal of this project is to create a free clone of Minecraft.
MineClone 2 is on the content list now.

I'll agree with scaine's assessment -- buy it immediately. Not because the price will go up at some point, but because it's that good!

Haven't tried the new update, but definitely looking forward to it once I get my fill of Minetest for a while.

For an explanation of why Minetest has jumped from the 0.4 series to 5.0, this thread explains the thinking behind the new versioning system.

Basically it's a recognition that the core API is stable and has been for some time, and adoption of a more consistent versioning system without the baggage that a "1.0" release (assumption that it's "complete", etc.) generally carries with it.

Oh, is the actual 5.0 out already? Last I looked they were still testing the second release candidate.

Looking forward to returning to Minetest soon then.

Quoting: einherjarHmm, to be honest, there is not one title, that is interesting for me.
I'm more or less in the same boat, most of it doesn't really grab me. Zed looks kind of interesting, and We Were Here Together would be good for a couple of streamer friends of mine to play together, but that's mostly it. None of it's going on my wishlist at this point.
