Proton 7.0 out with Easy Anti-Cheat improvements, more games for Linux & Steam Deck
16 Feb 2022 at 12:53 pm UTC

i suggest you to rename the title and edit your article cause on the github it clearly says Added support for EasyAntiCheat if the game has enabled a Linux module.

And you ask why people get hyped so fast you forget to add important things.

All people will drink your words, will cry and pollute proton DB >.<

No. The developer will need to get their anti-cheat working with Proton.

Was my mistake when setting up the Release candidate. I used 1.10.0 for it instead of using an RC on the version name.

Then 1.10 started on 1.10.1 and then I released a fix for it already.
any idea why with Genshin Impact i have the "space issue" and when i try to select another folder it gives me an error ? (sorry to bother you with this problem)

Looks like the important futex2 work is finally going into the Linux Kernel to help gaming

Quoting: BielFPsI wonder why they didn't instead try and make eventfd more effiecient?

What changed in this case is that futex2 will also be part of the official kernel, so any distro using the mainline kernel 5.16+ will have support to futex2 by default, without the necessity of custom patches (commonly called "out of tree") like Xanmod does for example.
sounds good to me

Well, I guess this might have an impact too....
Maybe - as part of all the above said - Epic are also searching for some new "hunting grounds" for their games...?
